Read with your eyes and ears together
If following the words is hard, or you keep losing your place in long texts, try reading along with audio. SayText highlights the sentence it is reading in bold yellow, so you always know where you are.
Many people find it easier to follow what they read when they hear it at the same time. It may help people with dyslexia or ADHD, people whose eyes tire quickly, and anyone who is not used to reading long texts.
SayText is not a medical device or treatment. Use it as one more way to read comfortably.
How to do it
- Open saytext.app in Microsoft Edge and paste the text you want to read.
- Tap ▶ and the sentence being read is highlighted in yellow.
- If it feels fast, lower the speed to 1.0×, and tap any sentence you missed to hear it again.
- Members can loop a passage to hear the same part several times.
Sound plays in the Microsoft Edge browser (free on Windows, Mac, iPhone and Android). If you open SayText in Chrome or Safari, it shows you how to open it in Edge.
